Week 14: Celebrate Your Life
This is my last and final post for my "Entrepreneurial Discovery Diaries.” Looking back on my adventure in Bus 110, I've learned a lot from the beginning to the end. It's been quite a ride, full of learning and personal growth. At first, I was looking for guidance in starting a business and wanting to find a deeper meaning in being an entrepreneur. Through this class, I have discovered that being an entrepreneur is not just about making money but also about following a dream and making a difference.
As I moved through the weeks, I learned a lot about being honest in business, setting my own values, and leading with those values in mind. These lessons resonated with me as I hadn’t fully considered this. I found out how important it is to mix good leadership with the goal of doing good in the world and how to be thankful for what I have while also aiming to do more. Another big takeaway was the concept of gratitude. Being grateful for what I've achieved and learned, even when facing challenges, is of great importance. I now have a clearer picture of the kind of business I want to run and the type of people I want to work with.
If I had to share something important with other students about what I've learned, I'd say it's crucial to know what you stand for and to stick to it, even when things get tough. Being an entrepreneur means you can do something you care about, but you should always try to help others and do the right thing.
I advise anyone starting this path to dream big but keep your feet on the ground. Remember, real success is not just how much money you make, but the good you do for others. When you face challenges, see them as chances to grow. Always keep your values and honesty in everything you do.
Finally, if I had just one chance to give a talk, I'd say go after your dreams with all your heart but don't forget to be kind and help others along the way. Being an entrepreneur gives you an extraordinary chance to change things for the better. Make sure you lead with kindness and creativity and always aim to leave the world better than you found it.
As I wrap up my "Entrepreneurial Discovery Diaries," and Bus 110, I'm thankful for the whole experience. It's been quite a trip, learning so much about starting a business and about myself, too. I've figured out that being in business isn't just about making money; it's about chasing dreams and helping others along the way. I've learned the importance of being true to my beliefs, keeping my values in everything I do, and the big difference gratitude makes. To anyone just starting out, my advice is to dream big but stay real, and remember, true success is about the good you do, not just the money you make. Let's go out there, follow our dreams with everything we've got, and try to make the world a little better as we do it.
